The Jinghan Railway was a major north–south trunk line connecting Beijing and Hankou.
This photographic guidebook was compiled in 1914 (Year 3 of the Republic of China) by its administrative Survey Division as an illustrated guide to notable sites along the line.
Titled “Record of Scenic Sites in Su-men,” the booklet features photographs of the mountain landscapes, temples, mausoleums, and other celebrated locations around Songshan (Soumen). Each image is accompanied by bilingual captions in French and Chinese, offering a rare visual record of the region during the early Republican era.
