イギリスのＮａｔｕｒｅ誌{１８６９年創刊}に刺激されて，フランスで１８７３年にガストン・ティサンディエの編集により発刊された＜自然・La Nature＞の１９世紀発行の１巻―２７巻（１８７３－１８８２年の索引付き）の美麗なセットです。
クオート版、表紙は、お揃いの当代の背モロッコ皮・マーブル・ボード紙使用。タイトルは金文字、背は５段帯装幀、金箔装幀区分に金文字で印刻、見返しにマーブル紙を使用してあり、小口は斑点模様。
