3 DEUTSCHE KUNST UND DEKORATION.
Wohnungskunst, Malerei, Plastik, Architektur, Gärten und künstlerische Frauenarbeiten.
Vols. 1-72. Darmstadt, München, Koch, Bruckmann, 1897/98-1933.Cloth bound. with Library labels.4to.
Deutsche Kunst und Dekoration (German Art and Decoration) was founded by Alex Koch in 1897 and the early editions are heavily advertised in the back pages of Jugend. The journal covers similar ground to the art magazine Pan which was running at the same time but includes additional features on furniture and interior design. Given the period, all the early issues arewheavily biased towards Art Nouveau as the titelpages demonstrate. The journal merged in 1934 with Die Kunst.
A fine complete set of this important German art periodical. |
