貴重書をお手元でお使いください !

韓国の景仁文化社が2000年から約5年の歳月をかけて刊行した、16世紀から19世紀にかけて欧米各国で出版された日本、アジア及び極東に関連する文献・貴重書の復刻版です。タイトルの選定・編集は、韓国の複数の学者によってなされたと伺っています。
キリスト教の布教と宣教師の活動・交易の拡大・文化交流・探査と紀行・書誌学的研究・言語・歴史・日清、日露戦争史・地理・風俗等を復刻版企画の基本的 テーマとし、旧朝鮮総督府図書館蔵本等を底本として出版されました。この度の企画で復刻された書籍は、何点かは比較的年代の新しいものも有りますが、調査 した限りでは我が国の大学図書館でも極めて所蔵が少ないものが多く、且つ所蔵されていても<貴重書>扱いと想像されるものが多数有り、一般閲覧はかなり制 限されていると思います。また日本語に翻訳されていないものが殆どです。当然のことながら韓国の出版社による復刻版の特徴として朝鮮に関する貴重書・珍 本・奇書といった文献の復刻がかなり多く含まれている事に特にご注目下さい。また、英語の本だけでなくドイツ語・フランス語・オランダ語本等も数多く含ま れています。この様な文献が韓国の出版社により廉価で提供される様になったことは、我が国の大学図書館関係者・研究者は勿論の事学生にとっても大変に意義 あることと存じます。
なお、復刻版の印刷状態についてご説明申し上げます。正直申しまして、お世辞にも良いとは申せません。この点を充分にご了解頂いた上でご用命下さる様お願い申し上げます。  さらに、残念ながら出版社は各巻ごとの分売をしておりませんので何とぞご諒承願います。
